The story
A lithophane is a photograph carved in thickness instead of ink: thin where the image is bright, thick where it's dark. Switched off, it's a quietly textured panel. Switched on, your photograph appears in warm light — a 19th-century technique, rebuilt layer by layer on a modern printer. This is our most gifted piece, and the one that gets the most tears.
